Digity Re-Brands and Launches New Website!

New decade, new Digity": each and every member of the team at Digity has come together to create a fresh new brand and website for the new decade.

Digity was originally set up in 2011, and since then we have grown tremendously; developing our team, premises, service offering and, most importantly, our list of incredible clients!

In recent years we have invested in expanding the design side of the business; notably website design and development, which now keeps us very busy. We have augmented our marketing output, our business development and the functionality of our office to keep up with increasing demand by introducing new, highly-skilled team members.

With our daily running, we have moved to a larger premises in Wokingham which has provided a unique environment to welcome our clients, in addition to reflecting our confidence in the future and our determination to continue our growth.

Therefore, it felt right to refresh our identity to match our bright outlook - by creating a fresh new brand, more flexible in its application both online and offline. The previous brand had a symbolic simplicity to it, but that also came with restrictions in design application due to the confines of the rigid square red box. It was the perfect time for a change.

The skill and creativity of our team has increased exponentially each year. Their inquisitive minds are - literally - discovering new techniques and tricks every day, so our MD, Chris, decided to let their innovation run free with Digity’s new look.

Alix Davis, one of our talented designers, commented “We found that the red and black colour scheme of the old logo was too restrictive. We wanted to represent all sides of Digity”. So, as a team, we set down our brand guidelines and values, which we take into everything we do here at Digity. We wanted to make sure our brand truly reflected these values, but the scope of work we produce is too broad to be represented by merely one or two colours - we needed something that was flexible, like us, and could move and grow alongside us whilst showcasing all sides of our business.

Therefore, each brand value was assigned a colour to be utilised throughout our branding and website - Committed Pink, for example. The beauty of this is that when these colours are used together, they don’t just make an attractive design: they make Digity.
All of our values, all represented.

The logo was designed to be bold but simple, with our designers taking a trendy San Serif font but making it their own. They took the interesting letter form of the ‘g’ in our name and altered the type to make it original to Digity. On-trend, but unique - like the work we produce for our clients.

The website was designed to be fresh, colourful, and representative of us as a company. We wanted it to not just look great, but be fantastic to use, so we introduced fun and creative animations and movement throughout the pages to generate interest and enhance the user experience. Elements such as this fed into the wider goal of truly showing the skill of our designers - we wanted this website to be the pinnacle of our work; to stretch our boundaries and throw the normal playbook out the window. Our Head of Design, Gemma Parker, summarised the project well, explaining “We wanted the website to be engaging and to encourage people to see our value alongside them, working hard as a committed part of their team.”

Bright colours, fun animation, absorbing copy: what’s not to love?

The whole team is energised by the relaunch and our MD, Chris Lunn, remarked “2020 is the start of a new decade, and the start of a new look and feel at Digity. I'm excited about the future as we look to support even more successful businesses with their growth aspirations and have some fun by embracing our own creativity along the way.”

So, please explore our new website and feel free to let us know what you think - we hope you love the new Digity as much as we do!
