Meet Word Wizard Alex - Our New Online Content Executive

Our most recent starter at Digity, Alex, is our new online content executive, responsible for ensuring all copy for clients reads well and functions successfully to increase their leads and organic traffic.

This includes website copy, email campaigns, blogs, social media posts - pretty much anything that needs writing or proofreading, Alex can work her magic on!

Before Digity, Alex studied English Literature at the University of Birmingham, with a year abroad studying at UNSW in Sydney. During this time she surfed, got to meet quite a few kangaroos and koalas (but not too many spiders thankfully), and read a fair few books. Once back in Birmingham, she continued surfing, and was part of the university surf club - They didn’t actually surf in Birmingham, because it’s (unsurprisingly) not known for its beaches and surf, but they travelled to Wales, Devon and Cornwall. She said that she probably spent more time falling off the board rather than standing on it, but we all secretly think she was probably better than she gives herself credit for.

After graduating, Alex worked at David Lloyd for a while which inspired her to take her love for fitness further and study for her Personal Training Qualification. However, after doing this for a while she decided she wanted a job that used the skills she had developed from her degree, which led her to get a job as a Website Content Manager. She joined Digity because she wants to broaden her skills and work with a wider range of clients.

We’ve already quickly learnt that Alex doesn’t like sitting still for too long and outside of work she goes to CrossFit and is an avid rower! It wasn’t too much of a surprise to find out that her dream client to work with would be Gymshark because ‘they revolutionised the gym wear industry and made it more mainstream for women to be strong and lift weights which is really cool! They also have a big social media presence with campaigns such as #Gymshark66 and have lots of influencer partnerships, so it would be fun to come up with ideas for their socials.’
